Volunteers of the Year for 2007
Shirley Tarelton & Garry Holland
Shirley Tarelton has been an office volunteer with
Community Care since 2003. Shirley has a friendly, caring personality that
matches the atmosphere Community Care likes to generate. She goes the extra
mile to make people feel welcome when they come into the office.
Shirley has a heart of gold and it shows in all that she does. She
is a valued volunteer and we are very lucky to have her as part of Community
Care. Shirley Tarelton is the perfect recipient for our Volunteer of the
Year award.
Garry Holland has been an active volunteer for Community Care since 1994.
Garry has worked as a driver, a brokered worker and a long time board
member.
Garry is always willing to take a transportation call, even at the
last minute and on weekends. Once a client has had Garry as a driver, they
request him time and time again - this is a testament to his dedication
caring attitude, realiability and professionalism.
Garry has been the Vice-President of the Board of Directors for over 10
years and Community Care values the input and guidance he has offered this
organization.
Garry is a genuinely nice man, whose dedication to volunteer service
makes him an ideal recipient of the Volunteer of the Year award.
