November 21st, 1pm - 2:30pm - Providing Quality Care to Seniors (The Volunteer's Role in Protecting Senior's Rights and Dignity)

This seminar is presented by Raeanne Rideout. Volunteers play a critical role in our communities providing services to seniors such as providing volunteer driving, meal programs, organizing events, or assisting staff in the office at Community Care. Over time, volunteers develop relationships with the seniors in the community and may become aware of their medical or personal issues. It is sometimes difficult for voluteers to "know what to say or do" when they find out a senior's rights and dignity has been violated.
