With your donations we are able to:
- Provide security checks to clients at no charge
- Provide a Friendly Visitor service at no charge
- Provide up to 4 hours of non-medical respite
- Provide subsidized transportation to medical appointments
- Provide a Hot Meals on Wheels delivery service three days a week
- We are able to sell frozen meals to clients at our cost price
- Organize Wheels to Meals lunch programs at various restaurants around the county to keep people from being lonely and isolated.
- Provide clients with a list of Brokered Workers who would be able to assist with snow shoveling, minor repairs, or housecleaning.
- Buy Emergency Response Units that we are then able to give to clients. The clients are then only responsible for paying the installation fee and the monthly monitoring fees
- Provide clients and volunteers with a drop in centre where they can pop in for a coffee or to read the paper any day during the week.
- Offer a recreational program, which currently includes various card games and an aquasize program.
The services offered through Community Care, and provided by registered volunteers allow caregivers, family members, and friends peace of mind knowing that the people or person they care about are receiving services that allow them to continue to live, where they want to, in their own homes.

Consider the Gift that Keeps Giving!
An "In Honour" donation is a unique way to celebrate those who are special to us. Occasions such as birthdays, weddings anniversaries, or the holidays are just a few examples when this type of donation may be considered. Remembering someone close to you with an "In Honour" donation in lieu of flowers or a more traditional gift means a lasting contribution to someone in need. Donors receive an official tax receipt. A letter will be sent on your behalf to acknowledge your donation.
"In Honour" donations are great to give and of course, wonderful to receive. Contributions would stay in our community supporting and enhancing the programs and services provided by Community Care. The next time you are struggling to find that perfect gift, consider the gift that keeps on giving.
